About Me

                                                     Welcome to Daily DIY Life!

My name is Heather and I am writing to you from  a teeny tiny little spot on the map (oops I think that might be a coffee drip!) in West Virginia. And boy do I mean teeny! Moving to a small town from the big city has given me lots of time to explore my creativity.

My hubby and I have been married for almost 16 years.
Thanks to this small town, and the love of our family and friends, we are the happiest together we have been in a very long time. He is very helpful when it comes to making Daily DIY Life what it is. He's handy with the tools, and great at research! I like when he "wants" to help with a project thats for sure!

I am a mom of 4 wonderful loving boys. Two that have grown up and started their own adult lives, and Two teenagers that are still increasing my grocery bill.
I am a very proud Marine mom! My oldest son (24) has been in the Marines for 5 years, and is currently stationed in Japan for 6 months.

Al tho I did not give birth to any baby girls, I am thrilled to say I have 2 very special women in my life now.
My daughter-in-law who is wonderful and I think of her as one of my own. (You will see some of her handy work here from time to time)
And my oh so precious and perfect 2 year old grand daughter! She is just a joy and a tiny little ray of sunshine on any cloudy day.

We have one 4 legged furry child! (unless you count the dust bunnies - I could open a zoo!) His name is Reno and he is a 10 month old chocolate lab / german sheppard mix. He's a fiesty pain in the rear end!! But we love him so !

About this blog ...

I have always wanted to run a blog. With all the recipes I try and the crafts I love to do I just thought this would be a good outlet to share my love of food and all things DIY with others. I mean I'm making it anyway right? Why not let others in on the fun.

I have started other blogs before and not continued with them. (Coupon sites, holiday sites ect... yes there is more LOL) My problem is I get bored with doing just one thing very quickly!
I will start a craft or project and stick with doing it for a while until I get tired of doing the same thing over and over. Then I move on to something else.
That's why this blog is perfect!  It is what I should have been doing from the beginning!
On this blog I can do ONE of something and move on to the next project LOL
I now have a reason to get creative and share it with all of you!

I am far from perfect! My house is never immaculate! I mean c'mon .. we LIVE here. We play games, we eat food, we walk around in our pajamas and own it like it's no ones business! We are very REAL and down to earth people, I hope that comes across to all of you on this blog.

I look forward to chatting and getting to know all of you. Please feel free to drop me a message just to say HEY!

Until next time ..... xo
